DealerOn and #PaulieStrong at NADA

DealerOn is a very proud supporter of one of the auto industry’s truly good guys, Paul Jimenez. Earlier this year, the Jimenez family lost their 10-year-old son, Paul Ulysses Jimenez, to a rare form of pediatric cancer, Rhabdomyosarcoma. Since his passing, the PaulieStrong Foundation has been started by the family, inspired by the brave fight of Paulie.

At this year’s NADA, DealerOn will be making a $200 donation to the PaulieStrong Foundation for every sale that’s made at the show. Each donation will be made in the name of the dealer that signs on the show floor. In addition, the team attending NADA will show their support by fashioning the #PaulieStrong logo on their shirts, hoping to build awareness of the ongoing fight against pediatric cancer.

“We believe that even though Paulie is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the #PaulieStrong movement that he started.” Jeff Clark, Chief Sales Officer for DealerOn. “What Paulie represents and his message will be heard loud and clear by every one of our team members and our full support goes out to Paul Jimenez and his family. More about the PaulieStrong Foundation

The foundation’s focus is to fund research to find less toxic, more targeted therapies for children with cancer. After learning first-hand the need for research funding, Paul’s family created the Foundation with three main objectives:

  • Fund Childhood Cancer Research
  • Raise Awareness
  • Advocate For Change

According to The National Cancer Institute, Cancer is the #1 disease killer of children in the United States. Nearly 16,000 children and adolescents are diagnosed each year. And yet, less than 4 percent of all funding at the National Cancer Institute goes to research into childhood cancers. In the last 20 years, only two major drugs have been developed for children. Funds raised through The PaulieStrong Foundation will go directly to the Pediatric Oncology Team at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NYC to help fund research to find a cure for pediatric cancer.
