Welcome back to another Wednesday Workshop from DealerOn, the experts in automotive digital retailing.

If not for digital retailing, it’s likely that the global pandemic would have severely damaged the automotive industry. As it is, we’ve been coming back strong, posting good sales numbers across the board. Today, we’re going to ensure your store is getting everything you can out of digital retailing, so you can continue to grow into the future.

Digital retailing is here to stay.

In the past six months, 86% of people who purchased a car did so at least partially online. Most of these purchases included some in-person interaction and they represent a dramatic increase of 42 points since September. Similarly, 89% of dealers have adopted some form of digital retailing. It’s worth asking yourself what customers want when it comes to car buying and why digital retailing addresses those concerns.

The increase in digital retailing is also driving an increase in F&I product awareness.

While only 61% of in-store buyers add F&I products to their purchase, a whopping 90% of online buyers do. That’s an increase that can’t be ignored.

Digital retailing isn’t automated.

It would be easy to think of digital retailing as something to leave on and allow it to do all the work, but that is not the reality. 86% of online buyers interact with someone at the dealership in some phase of the process. You’re not making yourself obsolete, you’re adding aspects to the sales experience your customers will love.

Digital retailing makes the process faster and easier.

On average, remote selling takes an hour off the total process, making it less than an hour for 40% of buyers and less than two for a whopping 70%. Bear in mind that this not only makes customers happier, but it allows your sales staff to move more cars, which should make you happier.

How much happier?

The short answer is a lot. 84% of all customers reported that this experience was better than the last one. 76% of dealers increased their CSI when they used digital retailing with every customer. And this led directly to 33% increase in sales per salesperson.

What’s next?

There’s no arguing with numbers like these. If you’re not getting into digital retailing, you’re leaving money on the table. If you’re a DealerOn client, you already that our new product APEX solves all these problems and more. If you’re not, schedule your free online demo now at www.DealerOn.com/apex.
