We had the pleasure of interviewing our Manager of Customer Support, Donovan Tucker, in this edition of Who We Are. Read on to learn about the leader of Team Gemini and everything he brings to the DealerOn organization.

What team are you on and what is your role at DealerOn?
My name is Donovan Tucker, and I am a Manager of Customer Support for DealerOn. My role at DealerOn is to make sure our dealers are supported, pacing in a positive direction, and my team has the resources to be successful.

How does your team & role contribute to the success of DealerOn?
I oversee Team Gemini, a group of the most dedicated folks that I have ever had the pleasure of working with! Team Gemini is sort of a hybrid team, where we take a team-based approach to support all our dealers and their unique needs.

What do you feel separates DealerOn from other players in the space?
Since starting with DealerOn, there has been endless amount of support and collaboration that is very comforting to someone who has just joined the organization. DealerOn does a great job of conveying that same level of support and collaboration with our clients.

What do you enjoy most about working at DealerOn?
The people here are amazing. In such a short time, I have worked with and bonded with so many people. I love how diverse they all are.

If you could go back to your first day at DealerOn and tell yourself anything, what would it be?
I would tell myself to take my time and find my rhythm. It is easy to be overwhelmed but everything comes in due time.

What is a fun fact about you that people don’t know?
I am really into the culture and music of the 1970’s. Some of my favorite things to do is watch Black Exploitation movies from the 70’s and listen to music from my favorite artists of that time.

What motivates you?
People succeeding is such a motivating factor for me. I love to watch people work hard and obtain the things they desire. Their stories motivate me to never stay complacent or comfortable and to constantly unlearn anything that keeps me in that space.

What are you passionate about?
A huge passion of mine is to develop processes. When a business model or structure changes, we must consider new practices and new ways of doing things. When that time comes, I am usually on the front lines helping develop processes that keep our teams aware and provide them with resources to be successful.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Fitness has become a new hobby of mine. While I am new to the lifestyle, it has been very enjoyable. It provides me with a level of discipline, a healthier mindset, and muscles.

If you could have a conversation with anyone from the past, who would it be and what would you discuss?
If I could have a conversation with anyone from the past, it would be Bob Marley. I would ask him all sorts of questions from what led him to Rastafari to what his favorite Bob Marley album is.

Who do you find inspiration from today?
I find inspiration in my children. They are such a huge part of the “why” behind everything I do. They also help me appreciate the constant love that I am surrounded by.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
My 5-year-old asks me this question all the time. I think my superpower would be healing. Not only will I be able to heal myself but others.
