Starting with Customer Support back in 2013, Anthony Stone became one of the pillars of our fantastic Design Team here at DealerOn. We’re taking a trip to the race track to meet our Lead Visual Designer in this edition of Who We Are.

What team are you on and what is your role at DealerOn?

I’m currently the lead designer for the Graphic Design Team within the Design department, though I started my tenure at DealerOn in Customer Support back in 2013.

How does your team & role contribute to the success of DealerOn?

My team & I work tirelessly to provide some of the best ads & banners in the industry in ever-shrinking turnaround times! We pride ourselves in our quality & efficiency, which enables us to provide superior performing custom ads to clients when they need them.

What do you feel separates DealerOn from other players in the space?

DealerOn’s culture inspires some of the most hard-working people I’ve ever had the pleasure of collaborating with! To many of us, it’s more than a job, as we’re able to provide superior products & service in an industry we love.

What do you enjoy most about working at DealerOn?

I love that there’s so much support from the people I work with, and there are always opportunities to learn new skills & apply them here at work. As mentioned earlier, I started in Customer Support & as I grew my skills & focused on my career interests, doors opened within the company to allow me to use my skills.

If you could go back to your first day at DealerOn and tell yourself anything, what would it be?

Never stop pushing! For any young professional, it’s easy to be discouraged by progress that doesn’t meet your agenda. In retrospect, the times I slowed down & became comfortable were the times I really should have been kicking things up a notch.

What is a fun fact about you that people don’t know?

I picked up photography at the age of 12 & have been honing my skills ever since! These days I mostly take photos for fun, but there was a time when I freelanced in Real Estate, Product, Automotive & even Live Music photography. Some great memories!

“I love that there’s so much support from the people I work with, and there are always opportunities to learn new skills & apply them here at work.”

What motivates you?

Continued personal & professional development, and seeing opportunities open to me as I push myself & gain experience. It’s always, for me, necessary to have something to be working towards.

What are you passionate about?

My friends, my family & my hobbies! I’m extremely passionate about automotive racing & cars in general. Nothing makes me happier than being in a car on track chasing down an opponent. I live for that challenge!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I love exploring the world & outdoors with my partner, laying around with my cat & driving/working on my cars. I admittedly have WAY too many hobbies to make time for, but I try!

If you could have coffee with anyone from the past, who would it be?

Ayrton Senna, one of my favorite racing drivers of all time. There is so much mystery around his personal life, but on track he was ruthless & was never happy being second best. I’d give anything to have a chat with him!

Who do you find inspiration from today?

My mother, first off. She’s the strongest person I’ve ever met & she’s always pushing herself to be better. I think that’s where I got my no-compromise nature! Then I’d say, Gordon Murray…one of the most successful race car designers in history who recently launched his own brand & line of supercars. I could listen to him talk for hours. He’s left such an amazing legacy that’s still being written.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

Probably time travel…cliché, I know…but who hasn’t wanted to re-do something in their past or maybe fast-forward through a mundane task like mowing the lawn or cleaning the kitchen?
