Advanced SEO Presentation from SearchLove

This week’s Wednesday Workshop is PACKED with awesome, advanced tips on Local SEO. Last month, I spoke at SearchLove in Boston – one of the most prestigious SEO conferences in the US. They invite the top experts in SEO, PPC, and online marketing to share advanced tips, and my session was one of the highest rated sessions at the conference!

They were kind enough to send the audio recording of my presentation, so I synced it up to my slides so we could share the session here on our blog. I share a ton of advanced Local SEO tips that I haven’t shared with auto dealers before, so take some time to kick back and absorb all the awesome knowledge nuggets.

As always, if you have any questions or comments, leave ’em down below!

Hey Greg – another great presentation. A quick question for you – where do you get all your movie stills from? Do you simply do a Google image search or is there a specific site you use? Thanks, and lovin’ your work!

  • Once again, amazing presentation. I’ve watched a few of your presentations and I think this was one of the best. Interestingly enough, re: your reference to Gary’s Used Cars at 34:40, that site doesn’t rank well. Quick question – would you be willing to share your preferred tool for managing directory citations?

    Good stuff there Greg!

If we run a company that serves nationwide customers with only one office location how would you recommend we get ourselves listed in SERP for local. Silos or is it better to create sites for each state with a focus on the cities in that state?

      Mark –

if you’re serving customers nationwide, then is it just an ecommerce model? or are you a service business with actual techs who service customers at their location? Really tough to answer without more info – BUT – first check and see if a search for your biz’s keywords pull local results. If so, you’ve got to go with the silo approach – but that’s not going to scale if you’re trying to hit hundreds of cities… your best bet is to create amazing content that’s a gazillion times better than your competitors, and make sure you get tons of links, so that regardless of location, Google sees you guys as the clear #1 authority.
